Reconstruction of the Upper & Lower Toll Plazas and Southbound Approach at the Henry Hudson Bridge
MTA Bridges and Tunnels (MTAB&T)
Awarded ASHE 2020 "Project of the Year," this $90M project involved the construction of toll plazas, approaches, garages, and other support facilities. EnTech was the prime construction manager on this project providing resident engineering, inspection, office engineering, cost and schedule management, and other services as required. The Henry Hudson Bridge is a steel arch toll bridge carrying non-commercial traffic from the Henry Hudson Parkway across Spuyten Duvil Creek. One of the main objectives of the project was to remove the existing columns in the roadway and move the supports away from the roadway. The increased span of the upper roadway support girders necessitated a new structure.
